There is no better way to start the New Year then on iron. Despite the 20 degree weather, members of the Southwest Illinois chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers MC thought that it was a good day to ride. We got bundled up in our warm gear and met up at our rally point, McDonalds in Caseyville and headed to St Louis and the Palomino Lounge. Wouldn’t you know it, the place was closed! And then it started to SNOW! So we took some pictures for evidence and saddled up and skidaddled back to the house.

Happy New Years everyone. The music… it’s a joke, okay? You won’t understand if you’ve never got frostbite between the ears.

It’s Twenty-Ten and the SWIL Buffalo Soldiers are at it again.

Buffalo Soldier’s Credo

I am a Buffalo Soldier, and as a Buffalo Soldier I will uphold the standards and traditions set forth by my chapter and the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Clubs. I am proud of my colors and the rich history that they represent. I will wear my colors with pride and will do all within my power to educate the general public about the rich history of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers. I respect my colors and my Buffalo Soldiers Sisters and Brothers, and when my riding days come to an end, I wish to be remembered as one who served with dignity, as a responsible biker, and a proud Buffalo Soldier.
