The Southwest Illinois Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club went to the Queen Of Peace Center to present the residences with winter clothing and to perform a short presentation about the historic Buffalo Soldiers of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments. The Queen of Peace Center is a comprehensive family based behavioral health center for women struggling with substance abuse and mental illness. The gender focused female recovery center provides a variety of treatment options to women with co-occurring disorders and those affected by trauma . The mission of Queen of Peace Center is to provide behavioral healthcare to women with addictions and their children. We were well received and we all enjoyed our visit their with the ladies and their children. Light snacks and drinks were provided as well.

Buffalo Soldier’s Credo

I am a Buffalo Soldier, and as a Buffalo Soldier I will uphold the standards and traditions set forth by my chapter and the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Clubs. I am proud of my colors and the rich history that they represent. I will wear my colors with pride and will do all within my power to educate the general public about the rich history of the 9th and 10th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers. I respect my colors and my Buffalo Soldiers Sisters and Brothers, and when my riding days come to an end, I wish to be remembered as one who served with dignity, as a responsible biker, and a proud Buffalo Soldier.
